CHRISTMAS IN RUSSIA. How is it celebrated and why in January?

In Russia Christmas is celebrated not in December but on January 7.
Why? Thats all about two calendars - Julian and Gregorian.
The Orthodox Church still uses the first one and this is what creates the difference of more than a week between the calendars.
