Steak GYROS Recipe:
1 pound skirt steak from Sprouts
14 cup olive oil
3 cloves minced garlic
2 tsp dried oregano or 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh oregano
1 teaspoon kosher salt
black pepper
juice of 12 lemon
In a baking pan add steak and drizzle olive oil minced garlic oregano kosher salt black pepper and lemon juice.
Spread marinade to cover steak and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
Once ready grill on each side for 4 minutes for medium rare 5-6 minutes on each side for medium.
Tzaziki sauce:
12 cup thinly sliced english cucumbers
1 cups cold plain Greek yogurt
3 cloves minced garlic
2 tablespoons chopped dill
Juice of ½ squeezed lemon
12 teaspoon salt or to taste
In a bowl add paper-thin cucumber slices then drizzle salt.
Mix well and add lemon juice dill garlic and yogurt.
Mix well and set aside for at least 15 minutes.
Hummus
1 15.5 oz can of garbanzo beans
1 teaspoon cumin
¼ cup Sprouts brand tahini
4 cloves garlic sauteed and browned
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon kosher salt
¼ cup - ½ cup water depending on how thinthick you prefer
In a blender or food processor blend all ingredients until smooth.
