Takoradi Port stowaway concerns

Officials at the Takoradi Port says the port is still being hunted by the never ending issue of stowaways which has the tendency to dent the international image of Ghanas first commercial port.
The Acting Marketing and Public Relations Manager of the Takoradi Port Bediako told Viasat One News Correspondent Kwesi Agyei Annim that the Takoradi Port continue to record incidences of stowaways which is illegal travel by unauthorized persons from the port to oversees with the recent case happening in May.
The Marine Police tells me that between January and June this year alone the Takoradi Port has recorded four cases of stowaways by the youth within the catchment of the port.
Today I have come to the Port to find out the reality on the ground and what the port has been doing about the situation.
