Amazfit Zenbuds - Sleeping earbuds Xiaomify

So this is something I did not expect from Amazfit...
Sleeping earbuds that have a passive noise dampening effect and plays soothing sounds to help you fall asleep?! -And theres a lot more to them.
Are they any good? Lets find out! You can find the Amazfit Zenbuds on their Indiegogo page here: So Ive received these Zenbuds a little while ago to test them out before their crowdfunding campaign goes live.
Their main purpose is to play soothing sounds to help you fall asleep and to minimize background noises.
They dont have an active noise cancellation system but they do have a passive noise reduction by fitting perfectly in your ears and thus reducing the amount of noise.
This wont reduce the noise as much as with active noise reduction but it does reduce a good 20 - 30 of noise.
Besides that they also have a sleep tracker built into the buds and they offer a bit of storage to store these soothing sounds on the actual earbuds.
The earbuds each have a 10 mAh battery that should allow for 8 - 12 hours of usage depending on if you have set them to play sounds throughout the night or to stop playing sounds when it detects youve fallen asleep. They connect using Bluetooth 5.0 and can be set up with the Amazfit APP iOS or Android.
From the APP you can set the sounds to play set the level of the sounds set up the time for your alarms and if you want a notification of incoming calls.
And you can download additional sounds as well that can be stored on the Zenbuds.
Per default they come with 9 sounds loaded on to the earbuds but you can at least add up to 19 sounds.
Amazfit told me they will be offering additional sounds when the product starts shipping and they will also have several longer looping sounds by that time.
Right now it had a total of 19 sounds including water rain beach frogs birds some melodies with various instruments and pink and white noise.
I suppose these are typically the types of sounds people like to fall asleep with. The Zenbuds way less than 2 grams and fit in your ear well so you can lay on them and wont be bothered by them.
-Having a bigger battery for audio-streaming or active noise cancellation would probably mean they will have to become quite a bit larger. From the Amazfit APP you can also sync the sleeping data from the earbuds.
This will show you how long youve had deep sleep how many times youve rolled over and your average heart rate throughout the night.
Over time this should give you a better insight into your sleeping pattern which is pretty cool.
-I do assume that not everybody needs wants this..
but its there for if you do. At first I was a bit disappointed to find out that they dont play music from your phone or tablet but it does make sense.
For one the battery size wont allow it as the earbuds would have to be quite a bit larger and two the speaker drivers are not full frequency spectrum so the music wont sound that great.
I found that they are actually quite good at what they do.
Theyre comfortable to wear.
The sounds are actually quite nice to fall asleep with and the sleep tracking seems to work well.
You can find all the latest official product specs on the Zenbuds campaign page on IndieGoGo if you want to check out all the tech specs.
