A Forge server is actually a modded server for Minecraft 1.16.2.

In this video we will go over how to get the Forge server files for 1.16.2 how to join a modded Minecraft server and how to let your friends play on your modded Minecraft 1.16.2 server after port forward.
Thus without any more delay here is how to make a modded Minecraft server in 1.16.2! The first step of making a modded Minecraft server for 1.16.2 is to download the Forge server files.
You can find in the description above for Forge.
Once you are on our site click the green download Forge button.
That will take you to Forges site where you want to click 1.16 and then 1.16.2 in the left-hand sidebar.
Next click on the Installer button under download latest.
You will need to keepsave the file depending on your browser.
Before we can get the Forge server files you need to make a folder on your desktop.
After you have Forge downloaded and your folder created it is time to get the server files.
To do this right-click on the Forge file you downloaded click on Open With select Java and click Okay.
The Forge Mod System Installer will then open.
Click on Install Server.
A red box will then appear.
Click the three dots in this box select desktop on the left side and then click the folder you created for your modded server.
Now click ok.
Your Forge server files will start installing.
Once the Forge server file has installed open up the folder you created.
You will have .jar file that has Forge in the title.
Rename this file to forgeserver.jar.
Then right-click in the folder click New and then select Text Document.
Open this text document and paste one of the RAM codes from the description above.
Then click File Save As and name the file run.bat.
Make sure the save type as is All Files.
Now double click on the run.bat file you just created.
Your server will start to open but will fail.
However an EULA.txt file will appear.
Open that file and change EULAfalse to EULAtrue.
Save it and double click the run.bat file again.
Your modded Minecraft server for 1.16.2 Forge will now open! If you want your friends to join your Minecraft server though you will need to port forward.

The thing you need to know though is that you need to forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocol.
Then your friends will join via your public IP address.
You can join using your local host IPv4 address or your public IP.
