Rotten roots on Sa Nook Dendrobium

Oh dear oh dear.
My Sa Nook Dendrobium was looking a little distressed after flowering this year.
I had not seen signs of new growth so I took it out the pot and...
now I have a nearly rootless Dendrobium. If you have any experience with these, or with whether keiki paste is a good way to encourage root growth, let me know. Update on this orchid here:
