Franco Corelli sings Recondita armonia Tosca - Stokowski conducts

Franco Corelli dubbed The Prince of Tenors was celebrated for his passionate singing and charismatic presence.
In 1963 he took part in a Philadelphia Orchestra Gala Concert that also featured Joan Sutherland in the Mad Scene from Lucia di Lammermoor and Susan Starr playing the piano in Rachmaninoffs Paganini Variations.
With Stokowski on the podium Corelli is heard here in a well-known aria from Puccinis Tosca.
