Building the Traditional Hewn-Log Home

In 2007 I built a 12 X 16 feet hand-hewn log cabin.
I took me 63 days and I used only hand tools.
Inspired from the english 1850s cabin in Canada.
In 2012 I lived in this cabin for a year off-grid. Mortar recipe mine: 3 parts of Portland cement already mixed with sand 1 part of lime Another mortar recipe Michel Lessard Gilles Vilandré La maison traditionnelle au Québec Édition de lhomme 12 part of white Portland cement 12 part of masonry cement 4 parts of sand How to find the perfect site to build a cabin: Thanks for watching!
