From the October 2023 Splatfest.
The Tricolor map this time around favored the attacker.
The defenders had much smaller bases that were right in the attackers natural progression.
Counter-inking into the attackers bases required going uphill while the attackers had an entire ridge of snipe positions to cover mid from.
Hopefully the stats on how many attackers vs.
defenders won will give the developers feedback that will be considered when making the next Tricolor map.
Highlights:
0:03-0:20 - I did appreciate the extra effects on the opening sequence including the fact that they went away the moment the match started.
The ending effects were good too.
0:34-0:43 - The most common of the aforementioned snipe positions.
0:49-0:53 - The main problem with assaulting uphill.
1:04-1:11 - To get a triple splat with a Big Swig they must already have taken some damage perhaps from each other.
1:40-1:44 - Overreliance on snipe positions means the other side knows where you are and that youre probably not dodging enough.
2:22-2:24 - The other Ultra Sprinkler position was of course in the maps center.
The areas of effect of one on the side and one in the middle may have overlapped on the strips of uninkable floor just below the snipe positions.
3:13-3:21 - My teammate Swest had the idea for a last minute raid into the green base while the green team was busy in mid a second before I did.
Here you can see how much further a second got her.
