Macbook Air faulty logic board? Black screen

Since trying to reinstall Mac OS then rebooting Ive been getting this.
After taking it to the apple store and being told its a faulty logic board...
hoping to get some advice whether or not they are correct as the chap didnt look very confident it was a faulty logic board.
