Keepsake Quilting was founded in 1986 by Judy and Russ Sabanek.
The first catalog which mailed in the spring of 1987 met with such great enthusiasm that the next year a retail shop was born in Center Harbor New Hampshire.
The Sabaneks owned the business until June of 2000. In April of 2018 Keepsake Quilting went back to its roots as a family-owned business when the Kimelman family under the company name of Steelcity LLC purchased the business.
The family based in North Carolina has been in the textile business for four generations and is committed to making customer service Keepsake Quiltings number-one priority. With the change of ownership in 2018 came a new website reduced fabric prices customer-friendly hours at the quilt shop and an expanded selection of products including lots of fabric basics sold both as yardage and in precut collections.
Tools and notions have also been greatly expanded.
Realizing how quilters need a reliable resource for all the basics in February of 2019 Keepsake Quilting created its first Essentials catalog filled with basic fabric collections precuts and notions.
Along with this new catalog came a commitment to keep all of the items from the 2019 Essentials catalog in stock for a full year. ????????????????????
