Introduction to Julia

This lecture provides a high-level introduction to Julia following eight lectures on Python.
The first point is that Julia allows to focus on the exploration of mathematical algorithms for its ease of defining functions with a convenient syntax well suited for linear algebra.
The second point is its efficiency.
The lecture ends with mentioning a computational intensive computation the making of fractal plots of Laguerres method.
This computation allows to verify the performance promise of Julia.
